So we met with Bob......

Shaina is right, I've been totally slacking on the updates! Honestly, you won't see much wedding planning between now and March 31st...I should be spending every waking moment on National Boards (I got my video today...whoo hoo! One down, one to go! and lots and lots of writing and analyzing and proving that my labors of love actually result in student learning!). Jason has been awesome and is basically doing all the shopping, cooking and cleaning (though he discreetly picks around my "filing system" aka piles of paper all around the floor of our room). 2 months to go! Oh and I scheduled my exam (the final part of the process) for Friday, June 5th and then I will be officially done!

Anyway, we met with Bob. He is such a funny guy. He basically informed us how our wedding was going to go. He wanted to know what time we wanted to start, and then told us how our schedule would run for the rest of the night. Then he asked what kind of restaurant we would take our guests to if we could take them 4 at a time. He said "Seattle Themed" basically means "the world" because our area is so diverse. He's down with the cocktail atmosphere and pretty much has everything to do it (high and low tables of various sizes, etc), but he was NOT into my Pike Place market stacked veggies idea. Jason told him he really wants sliders (apparently we are now having a UW tailgate "station"), and other than that Bob took our ideas and set off to plan our event. Supposedly he will come up with a proposal and send it to us this week! We might all be surprised by what actually ends up happening on the day of! We just love the space and are so excited about it. Hopefully Bob will pull through for us. And we are feeling like we might need to call on the virtue of Assertiveness in dealing with this guy!

I found this picture of sliders and pigs in a blanket...I think Jason would be totally happy!

In other news, we registered this weekend! We had a really good time. Jason was a total trouper. We went to a Crate and Barrel registry event, which was really fun because they had special events and food everywhere! They were cooking with all the small appliances (we ate waffles, toasties from a toaster oven, and sausages grilled on a sandwich maker), and we got to try out the fancy knives on potatoes and tomatoes. We chatted with the lady from Cuisinart and drank mimosas. We were on a roll so we headed over to Macy's and did that too! We may make some small adjustments but I think we are pretty much set.

Check out this cuuuute school themed wedding! http://ecoindiewedding.wordpress.com/2009/02/09/real-weddings-minhee-park-and-truman-cho/

I'm working on a bouquet of paper flowers but it's taking forever. Hopefully I'll finish soon so I can post pics. More news to come soon!
