New Invitation Idea

I know I'm supposed to be working, but the latest brain research says you should take a brain break every few hours...or minutes.

Anyway, I was surfing Etsy and came across these invitations that I really like!

We thought we would go with a Seattle themed something, but haven't found the perfect idea that we really loved. I like these (in blue) because they tie in with our paper flowers. I emailed the designer (she's in Issaquah!), to see about ordering a sample set! We would probably just do the invites, envelopes, and response postcards.

Our Save the Dates Came!

We got our Save the Dates on Saturday! They look so perfect! We can't wait to mail them out. Too bad today is a no mail holiday! Hopefully these will start arriving in the mail this week...

Save the Date!

We ordered our Save the Dates! Unfortunately, it always looks orange here, but I swear it is blue! We ordered them as large postcards from VistaPrint, which is such an awesome site. They always have awesome cheap or FREE stuff! We order tons of free stuff for school. So Jason and I ordered the cards and envelopes, and got return address labels, 100 really cute reading level postcards for school, and a new stamp for Dawn, all for free with our order! I can't wait to see them, and hope they look good.

In other news, our site michalandjason.blogspot.com is up and running! I figured out how to make a slideshow of photos AND jason made a cool map with our site and the two hotels that is linked to google maps. We're pretty excited about it. Let us know if you have ideas of what kind of information we should share with our guests.

I feel like we are making real progress on our to-do list. Maybe it's time for an update on that soon!

Save the Dates!

We just ordered a Save the Date design! We ordered from an etsy shop called mtk designs. She has awesome stuff! She will redesign the image with our info and photo, and send it back to us as a jpeg. Then we can order it through our preferred photo publisher (costco?), or just email it! I'm excited.

Jason and I discovered Picasa, the google photo editing program. I should have listened to Dad long ago, it is so awesome! We hope to use this collage as our photo.

So we're hoping our design will look something like this (with out info!).

We also reserved a block of rooms at Silver Cloud Stadium, solidified a date for our engagement shots (at the UW when the cherry blossoms are in bloom!), and set up a new blog for information for all the wedding guests. Check out michalandjason.blogspot.com (still under construction :)).

These invitations are cute! And they are only $75 for 100, including envelopes. Not as cheap as Rachel's bargain bin at Target, but pretty affordable!

Crane Invitations - Blue Damask

I saw these printable invitations today at Paper Zone...aren't they cutie cute? They are $16 for 10 invites and 10 env. I think something like this would be cute...maybe add a ribbon and a monogram?
