On Friday Rachel and I went to meet with Leslie, a friend of Mom's and the director of sales at the Mayflower Park Hotel. We got to have lunch at Andaluca (delicious!) and they even let us valet the XT with the kayak on top! The MFP is an historic hotel, right in the shopping district in downtown Seattle. It is attached to Westlake Center, walking distance from Pike Place Market, and a monorail ride away from Seattle Center. We think it would be a great choice to offer out-of-town (or in-town!) guests since they would have access to so much of downtown. There is also a concierge service that can help guests plan their visit, and can also help us book appointments, limos, reservations, etc.We are also thinking about staying here the weekend of the wedding. I love the idea of getting dressed here and taking pictures on their stairway in the main lobby! It would be fun to make this hotel our main staging area for guests and bridal party. They also have a swanky lounge (Oliver's)...after party location??
Leslie is working on getting us a block of rooms and a group rate. We also still want to check out the Silver Cloud Stadium (really close to the CITS!) and maybe another hotel that is not as close but less expensive (Bellevue?).

Sounds like the perfect spot! And I love the idea of after party in the hotel lounge, no cab to get to your room!
