Bellevue makes new offer to striking teachers
The Bellevue School District has come up with a new offer to striking teachers.
BELLEVUE, Wash. —

The Bellevue School District has come up with a new offer to striking teachers.
It offers a bigger pay raise and meets teacher demands for more flexibility in what the teach.
District and union negotiators meet again at noon Friday to see if the latest offer might end the walkout that began Sept. 2.
The strike by 1,200 teachers has delayed the start of classes for 16,000 Bellevue students.
