Today we got to sleep in and let our feet rest! Then we were back on at noon, manning the line as well as the BBQ at Jan's. We were lucky to have Jan open her beautiful home to us again, we always love spending time together there. Steve cooked some mean burgers! Once our shift was over, we headed to a big rally at the district office. It was fun to touch base with teachers from around the district and see how creative people are getting!
G. is wearing an apron, wielding a spatula, and carrying a cookie sheet that says "Thumbs Down to Cookie Cutter Curriculum!" Her partner in crime says "Do not teach me in a box..."
As you can see, a ton of teachers, parents and students turned out for this event! (Hi Beth!) FYI, the businesses have asked us not to park at the other 3 buildings around the ESC. ;)
